ChargePro
Industrial DC Battery Charger

Reliable tripping supply for your switchgear

When the mains fail, your protection system runs on the battery. ChargePro keeps that battery healthy — automatic float and boost charging, full alarm monitoring, and built to run 24/7 in substation conditions.

Why It Matters

Your protection is only as good as its DC supply

Protection relays and breaker trip coils don't run on the mains — they run on a battery, kept charged by a charger. If the charger fails silently, your relays may not trip when a fault hits, exactly when you need them most.

ChargePro monitors itself and the battery continuously, raising alarms for earth faults, low volts, and charger failure — so a weak DC system never goes unnoticed.

!
Failure to trip

A flat battery means breakers can't trip on a fault — the single most dangerous failure in a substation.

Silent failures

Charger faults give no outward sign until the battery is already drained. Alarms catch it early.

Licence compliance

A healthy DC tripping supply is part of what your LEW checks at every inspection.

Clean, stable DC

Filtered output protects sensitive numerical relays from ripple and voltage swings.

Features

Built for unattended duty

Boost, float & auto modes

Manual/auto toggle between boost, float, and auto charging — holds the battery healthy day-to-day, recovers it fast after a discharge.

Integrated analog monitoring

Heavy-duty analog voltmeter and ammeter on the front panel show real-time charger status and load at a glance.

Robust fault protection

Common alarm contacts for high/low volt, charger fail, and earth fault — smart dry contact loops report straight to your SCADA network.

MCB-protected outputs

All outputs fully isolated and individually protected by miniature circuit breakers — standard 2× AC and 1× DC outlets.

Maintenance-free battery

Dry cell, valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) blocks — no topping up, ≤3% self-discharge per month.

Fully customizable

Output voltage, current limits, and battery amp-hours tailored to your switchgear — all within the same standard-footprint enclosure.
